Here is some background information on our company and its culture.

BACKGROUND: We are a small team - two directors plus five employees - distributed around England; Southampton, Oxford, Harrogate, London, the North East and Devon. We find this to be an optimal size for handling a mix of development projects whilst offering on-going support to those clients who want it. We are a stable concern offering a flexible and reliable resource - yet we charge a similar amount to a single contractor. We can offer value for money because we have a low cost base - we do not rent an office or run a marketing budget.

BESPOKE SOLUTIONS: RTIS provide bespoke solutions for clients who cannot find exactly what they need elsewhere at a price they can afford. This means that the understanding of the business problem, and the design of a solution is a major aspect of the work we do. For this reason, we have to understand more than just programming.

EXPERTISE: RTIS grew around clients in the manufacturing sector and have since grown to work across the service and voluntary sectors also. Between us we have a technical background covering operations, engineering, mathematics and management accounting.

INTEGRATION: although we can provide comprehensive integrated solutions, often we work within existing systems, perhaps providing a departmental solution within a large corporate. We can link into existing database platforms so that, where appropriate, data can be shared or passed to and fro. Where needed, we can offer dual running of legacy and new RTIS systems (where the object model between the User Interfaces and the database writes to the old and new system at once).
